Junior World Literature includes the titles above along with selected short stories and poems from authors around the globe. The goal is to expose them to strong authors with a tangible message. I recommend supplementing this course with a strong grammar review (ISBN 9780789170569 Grammar Usage and Mechanics- Level I or Analytical grammar are good options). As with the other courses, organize them by World Lit/Resource/Vocabulary/Journaling for their folder. Combine and print double sided and hold punch for best use. Each lesson teaches the student a concept and provides instruction for 3-5 hours of work each week to build their writing skills. The lesson strive to be varied and interesting, keeping the student motivated to try new things. A Research paper is included at the end of the course (five weeks spent on thorough planning).
