Connections to Literature (American Literature)
This 32 week course includes works from Washington Irving, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and James Fenimore Cooper. A focus on paragraph development, thesis construction, essay building, precis studies, and writing concisely and specifically are the focus for the first semester. The second semester studies poetry, short stories, and includes an in-depth 6 week research paper process. Your student's folder will be comprised of Composition/Resource/Vocabulary/Journaling..a 3 ring binder with dividers between each will be needed. (1.5 inch binder)
