Offering Writing Assessments
If you would like an assessment of your student's writing, here are three types to consider:
This service is still a work in progress, with more families considering the option of homeschooling - this is one area my experiences can help encourage and support their journey.
- A starting point assessment: Your child will have three options to create a sample of their writing style. Upon submission, I will offer a detailed report of their strengths and weaknesses and recommendations to strengthen their writing for this school year.
- Assignment review: Anytime your child completes an assignment and would like a detailed review of their strengths and weaknesses (it does not have to be from my courses, but goals for the assignment should accompany their submission if it's for another course), I will generate a thorough assessment to help them make the necessary edits or give advice on future writings.
- Assistance with research papers: a research paper should take several weeks to create, through this process your student may need guidance in finding sources, formatting, creating MLA cites, or organization of ideas for proper planning.
